In the U.S., you will join over 14,000 members across the country that comprise the chapters called convivia and are lead by volunteer leaders.

What Do My Membership Dues Support?
When you become a member of Slow Food USA, you are not simply paying for a subscription to our publications or for a membership card, but your dollars go to further the goals and initiatives of Slow Food nationally and internationally. A portion of your membership dollars are directed straight back to the efforts of your convivium. Through this exchange, we have invited our members to be personally involved in furthering of the goals we all share.

The Foundation for Biodiversity receives a portion to further organize and fund projects that defend our worlds heritage of agricultural biodiversity and gastronomic traditions. For more information on the Foundation for Biodiversity, please visit http://www.slowfoodfoundation.com/.

Slow Food International uses their portion to help open new Slow Food offices around the world. There are currently 800 convivia in 50 countries with seven national offices in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, the USA, France, Japan, and Great Britain. With your support, Slow Food continues to establish new offices and convivia, increasing our body of members and strengthening our international community.

The rest of the dues go towards publications, operating expenses, and membership services, all of which help our movement grow and function while keeping our members updated and connected.
Your yearly membership is important to keeping Slow Food alive.
