Simple. Fresh. Locally Sourced.
A very special Slow Social – please join us!
Celebrate Milwaukee’s upcoming Eat Local Challenge with Slow Food WIsconsin Southeast at one of the newest locally sourced restaurants in town. Braise opened late last year and has been garnering rave reviews ever since. Come taste why! We hope you share this very special evening with us.
Watch Braise Restaurant, Chef David Swanson and Gordon Edgar on PBS. See more from Wisconsin Foodie.
Meet Dave Swanson, Braise chef-owner. He is commited to building strong relationships between local producers and restaurants, starting Braise RSA (restaurant supported agriculture) a number of years ago. He carries that passion into his restaurant, preparing dishes that are simple, fresh and locally sourced. Dave will talk with us about our menu, and why he cares about locally sourced food.
We’ll also chat together about the Eat Local Challenge and ideas for moving to a more locally sourced lifestyle. Mostly, though, it’s about the meal! We’ll share a 3-course meal, served family style at their community dining tables.
Course #1
Arugula Salad with Griddled Corn Cakes & Goat Cheese
Course #2
Roasted Chicken Roulade & Saffron Aioli with Eggplant Caviar (vegetarian option available, please choose when registering)
Course #3
Grilled Peach Hand Pies with Honey Cardamom
This event will sell out fast, and seats are limited.
