The Art of Science of Preserving: Pickled Cucumbers

Cucumbers make the quintessential pickle. While they are in season, learn to transform those crunchy little gherkins into great tasting, CRUNCHY, sweet bread & butters or old-fashioned sour dills using fermentation and vinegar infusions. Students will learn how to safely can their pickles with easy to understand instructions that they can apply at home. This is a hands-on class. Participants will leave the lesson with a jar or 2 of their own canned-creations along with tip sheets, recipes and resources for preserving food at home. (Note: Secrets to making crunchy pickles shall be revealed.)
