Join Slow Food WiSE for an evening “stuffed” with knowledge and fun!

Scott Proell, owner of Haught Distributors in Menomonee Falls will be sharing his expertise as well his antique sausage grinding and stuffing tools. He’ll discuss the Wisconsin tradition of making brats, meat preservation, spices and more! Jen Ede, Slow Meat Coordinator for Slow Food WiSE, will discuss the Slow Meat Initiative. While our gracious host, Steve Shapson the Cheesemaker, will serve as the expert newbie, helping the group make both brats and Italian sausages.

Slow Food Community Cooks: “Herbal Drinks”

Learn about using herbs in cocktails and other drinks. Venice will teach us how herbs can add depth to a variety of drinks. You will have the opportunity to make your own drinks. Please bring two pint size jars with lids so you can take home a sample of your creations. All drinks will be non-alcoholic. You may add “a little something” when you get home!

Join us Tuesday, July 15th at 5:30 pm SHARP for a wood fired outdoor pizza party at the home of Steve Shapson (AKA the Cheesemaker).

Learn pizza-making from the jack of all trades when it comes to home cooking! Steve will educate us on brick oven construction, pizza making from scratch, and dutch oven cooking in the outdoor oven.
