Join Slow Food WISE on a tasting tour of delicious soups, lovingly prepared and served by some of our favorite local chefs and restaurateurs like Braise, La Merenda, Afro Fusion Cuisine, MKE Localicious, Buckley’s, Cafe Manna, c.1880, Riverwest Co-op, and Caroline’s Raw Cuisine.

Join us at Hinterland Gastropub to learn more about Slow Food’s Slow Meat Initiative, to learn about some of Wisconsin’s local sustainable meat farmers, and to enjoy some delicious creations!
Wednesday, June 18th at Hinterland Erie Street Gastropub.
Cocktails begin at 6:30 pm, dinner at 7:00pm.
The night’s menu will feature meat from local farms including:

Pinn Oak Ridge Farms
and will include five courses with wine pairings.
During dinner, you will learn about each of the farmers, their sustainability efforts, and about the Slow Meat Initiative.
Join us Tuesday, July 15th at 5:30 pm SHARP for a wood fired outdoor pizza party at the home of Steve Shapson (AKA the Cheesemaker).
Learn pizza-making from the jack of all trades when it comes to home cooking! Steve will educate us on brick oven construction, pizza making from scratch, and dutch oven cooking in the outdoor oven.

The Taste of Wellspring is Wellspring’s annual fundraiser held to generate support for the organization’s education classes and community outreach programs. For the event, chefs from the local, regional area get creative and serve up gourmet dishes featuring Wellspring’s produce, accompanied by local, sustainably sourced meats and dairy products. Live music and a silent auction are also part of the event to make for an evening full of local food and fun!
