Foodie Book Club!

There a few things better than curling up with a good book.  How about curling up with a good book about food? Sounds good, right?

Well, we’ve been talking with our friends in the Friends of Real Food Group that meets at the Riverside Urban Ecology Center every month, and have decided to start a book club co-sponsored by Slow Food WiSE and Friends of Real Food!

The book club is open to anyone who is interested, and will be

led, at least for the first few books, by board members and key volunteers from both groups.  Since the holidays are quickly arriving, the first meeting will be held in February of 2015 – which gives you plenty of time to find and read the first book: The Third Plate by Dan Barber.
We will be meeting at the Riverside UEC, and each book we select will focus on food and the many ways it intersects and affects our lives.  If you are interested in joining, please register through the link below by Friday, December 5th. Shortly after that date, a Doodle poll will be sent out to decide a day and time for our first meeting!
