The Farm Fresh Atlas
The Farm Fresh Atlas of Southeastern Wisconsin is a local food guide for the Milwaukee metropolitan area and surrounding countries. The Atlas features farms and business that:
- Are family or cooperatively owned
- Operate in a way that protects and sustains the region’s land and water resources
- Provide safe and fair working conditions
- Produce, use, or sell Wisconsin farm products
Slow Food WiSE board members serve on the steering committee of the Farm Fresh Atlas of Southeastern Wisconsin and coordinate distribution in the Milwaukee area. To volunteer, contact Brooke Seipel at firstname.lastname@example.org
Slow Food WiSE is proud to support two local, collaborative initiatives led by Eat Local Milwaukee and the Urban Ecology Center.
The Local Farmer Open House, held annually every March, brings together local farmers, producers, and the community by providing opportunities for networking, conversation, educational workshops and resources. Visit the Urban Ecology Center’s website for more information.
The Eat Local Challenge and Resource Fair is an annual opportunity to savor and celebrate local food. Visit Eat Local Milwaukee’s website for more information. Eat Local Milwaukee is a collaboration of the Urban Ecology Center and Outpost Natural Foods Co-op with the support of Slow Food WISE and the MKE Foodies.
